Michael Constable joined Wallace Klein Partners in Law LLP in January 2019. Michael is a general practitioner with core focuses in family law, child protection law, criminal law, civil law, and wills and estates. He sits on a number of Legal Aid Ontario panels, including duty counsel panels, and accepts certificates from Legal Aid clients. . Prior to joining Wallace Klein, Michael completed 12 months of practical training as a Student-at-Law and a year as an Associate lawyer at Dorrington and Associates Professional Corporation in Timmins, Ontario, providing legal services throughout the Northern Ontario including Cochrane, Timmins, Kirkland Lake, Sudbury, and North Bay. Michael was Called to the Bar of Ontario in January 2018. He holds a Master of Laws in Canadian Common Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Exeter, and a Bachelor of Arts in literature and philosophy from Concordia University. He was born in Sudbury, Ontario and raised in Burlington, Ontario. Prior to his legal career, he worked in journalism, communications, and marketing. Michael is always eager to learn new areas of law, develop new approaches to practice, and to assist clients with their legal needs. He is passionate about all aspects of the law, from abstract legal theory to trial advocacy, and applies his experience studying and working in other jurisdictions to his practice of law. He particularly enjoys working closely with clients to ensure their rights are protected and their objectives are met. Michael practices law in Northern Ontario and provides legal services to Legal Aid clients because he believes that justice should be accessible to all Ontarians. An avid hiker and wilderness aficionado, Michael enjoys outdoor activities in all four seasons. He has an Australian Shepherd named Remmington, and his hobbies include travelling, hiking, camping, kayaking, snowshoeing, reading, writing, and music.
